Women in Congolese public services under the Third Republic: a look at the administration of the National Assembly
Keywords:
discrimination, inequality, institution, men, women, national assemblyAbstract
According to Laura Davis and Ali, the oppression of men and women in the Democratic Republic of Congo in their roles in society affects both men and boys by restricting their behavioral expressions and erecting unjust and repressive forms of masculinity as an ideal system. Although discrimination and oppression manifest themselves in different forms at different stages of women’s, girls’, boys’ and men’s lives, they are symptomatic of the same cause: institutionalized and widespread social inequality and the low status of women and girls.
