Abstract

This is the theme chosen three years ago by the ICA to honor archives by strengthening them. The hope of seeing each country in the world with an archive service worthy of the name remains utopian because, despite multiple efforts, especially in less wealthy countries, much remains to be done to create viable archive services. This causes the chronic absence of good archive management in these countries and precarious conservation measures. As a solution, a model for creating an archive service has been proposed in the twenty-first century, considered the century of information. Organic and recorded information should be continuously and constantly organized and protected.
