Problem of reading in the Democratic Republic of Congo: Sociological survey of women in the city of Kenge in Kwango province

Abstract

Reading, while being a means of acquiring knowledge, a means of relaxation, decision-making, intellectual production and research, and a means of permanent formation, serves to communicate and is also a factor of socialization and equalization of citizens. Reading enriches the general culture of education and spirituality. As a result, it presents many problems that need to be solved in both social and human life. The city of Kenge faces many of them, including the lack of public libraries and the low rate of readers.
